OUTDOOR OIL TANK REPLACEMENT INCENTIVE

PEI Mutual is offering a $100 cash incentive to help policyholders switch their current outdoor steel oil tank to a new non-corrosive oil tank or convert to non-petroleum based heat.

CANADA POST WORKERS LOCKED OUT NATIONWIDE
6/15/2011

Shortly before midnight last night, Canada Post workers were locked out from their workplace nationwide. It is largely unknown, at this time, how long this lock out will endure. In the interim, PEI Mutual will implement the following temporary measures to better accommodate our policyholders.

 

 

Premium Payments

PEI Mutual will be accepting premium payments by way of:

·        On-line banking

·        Credit card payment by phone

·        Direct payment (in person) at head office

 

Policyholder Invoices & Coverage Summaries

Policyholder invoices & coverage summaries can be reprinted and will be made available by request at head office for pickup by the named policyholder

 

Claims Payments

Any inquiries regarding claim payments and other claim’s correspondence should be made directly to PEI Mutual’s claims department, by calling 1-800-565-5441

 

 

Should the Canada Post lockout persist for an extended period of time, PEI Mutual will issue further communication regarding alternative measures to be implemented,  allowing us to best serve our customers during this time.

PEI MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY 2011 ANNUAL MEETING

The new executive of PEI Mutual Insurance Co. was recently elected following the Company’s 2011 Annual Meeting held at the Royal Canadian Legion, in Summerside.

Outgoing President, Claude Dorgan, commented that PEI Mutual had another successful year. The Company actively celebrated 125 years of being in business, paying out a special dividend to its policyholders in the amount of $1.5 million. The Company was able achieve a bottom-line profit of $1.0 million even after a significant payout of $9.0 million in losses to its policyholders during the year.
