PEI Mutual Insurance Company is part of our Island community. Our head office with 22
employees is located in Summerside, our 14
agents live throughout the Island and make house calls to explain our policies. Our
Board of Directors are elected from 9 zones across PEI and are responsible for corporate policy.
Our locally produced policies (residential,
farm, fishing
boats, commercial) are competitively priced and policyholders enjoy mutual rebates whenever profits warrant. Our claims are all processed locally under the guidance of Blair Campbell, our Claims Manager.
We support many local charities, including our local hospitals, United Way of PEI, Provincial Games and Special Olympics. We promote
fire safety with our own Safety Survey program led by Frank Sanderson. Through our
PEI Mutual Educational Trust we provide twenty scholarships annually to Island students.
Terry Shea, our General Manager, maintains our investment portfolio, investing locally whenever prudent.
